TRADITIONAL MASSAGE

The massages I give are not only to enjoy, but also help to solve many physical problems. The massages give energy to body and mind and make you fit and flexible, so you experience more balance in your life.

The massages are meant for everyone. They are a blessing for people with a busy and sedentary life, but also for athletes and people who practise yoga.

The massages are intensive and are given on a mat on the floor. No oil is used. The massages are given over the clothes and treat the whole body, starting at the toes and ending at the head. For people who, for whatever reason, cannot lie on the mat, I can also give the massage on my massage table, in an adapted way, but also very effectively.

Eastern Heritage

The massage I give is the Traditional Thai Yoga Massage (Nuad Thai). This is a form of massage that has been used in Thailand for centuries. This massage has a lot of prestige as a method to keep you physically and mentally young and vital. It is based on ancient Thai medicine and has influences of Chinese acupressure and Indian yoga. Buddhist monks brought this massage to Thailand about 2500 years ago. In Thailand people saw illness as an imbalance in the body or the mind and sought help in the local temple. Later it was also given in other places and became part of the daily culture. For example, when people came back from the rice fields after a day’s work, they were massaged by family members to compensate for the consequences of the physically hard work and to be fit and flexible again the next day. By exerting pressure on blocked energy pathways (‘sen’) all kinds of physical complaints can be remedied according to this doctrine.

The tranquillity, warm personality and above all the expertise combined with the fact that Daniel very well feels where the attention has to go, makes the massage a very pleasant experience. My shoulders are really an area of attention. Daniel has mastered several massage techniques and his hands ensure that after the massage my shoulders feel free of complaints again. The relaxation in my whole body will last for days.
Eveline Palm

A massage at Daniel’s is wonderfully relaxing. He takes the time for you and you go home refreshed.

Eline de Jong

As a massage therapist I am quite critical and Daniel is in my opinion a real winner. Not only is his technique good, he also massages with attention. I highly recommend him. With Daniel one is literally in good hands.

Fine Thai Yoga massage. You know the technique, you know what you’re doing. Afterwards my muscles and I were relaxed, fine.
Corien Wijnberger

Stress quickly hits my muscles and I regularly suffer from tension between my shoulder blades, in my shoulders and in my neck. The massages with Daniel help me with these complaints. I think this form of massage is different from a relaxation massage with oil. During the massage sore spots can sometimes be felt and it’s a cooperation and interplay of feeling, moving along, letting go and making space. After a massage I feel taller and more flexible. The firm touches help me to be present in my body. Painful spots are massaged away and feel softer. I experience more space in my body.
